Pant and Pontsticill Reservoir

An 8.5 mile moderate walk starting near the Pant station of the Brecon Mountain Railway.  Park in the station car park (£3 daily charge) or on the road.

The walk takes us onto the moorland to the east of the reservoir with magnificent views of the Brecon Beacons. We drop down to the reservoir for a lunch break at the sailing club.  We follow the road south alongside the reservoir before climbing back up onto the moorland to complete our return.

Walking poles are recommended because of some sections of uneven ground and grass tussocks.

Because of the nature of this walk it is more weather dependent than usual.  Rain /low cloud would severely diminsh the experience.
