Directions: Take the Hereford road from Abergavennny . Fork off left at Llanfihangel Crucorney. After 500 yds turn left. After a further 300yds the road forks to the left (to Stanton). After 1 mile (at Stanton) turn left (signed Forest Coal pit, Patrishow, Llanbedr). After 2 miles (at a five way junction) follow the main road sligthly right. Pass a grey telephone box (this is the alternative 3 words site). Continue on the road for 5.5 miles. Ignore the first car park on your right at Pont Cadwgan. Eventually road crosses over the small river, passes a farm house and reaches Blaenycwm car park on the right .
Terrain: :: Mainly open moorland with views back towards Newport and over the Wye Valley and towards Talgarth
