DESCRIPTION:8 miles moderate \nStart from Abertridwr   http://what3words.com///freedom.lawfully.adopts \n9:30 start (or leaving Ystrad Mynach at 9:00 for those wishing to car share) \nDirections  – :travelling form Ystrad Mynach  – leave the Caerphilly bypass at the Trecentdd Roundabout (the one between the Cedar Tree and the Garden Centre) taking the right turn (3rd exit).  Go through the traffic lights and take the first exit (left) at the next mini roundabout.  Follow the road to Abertridwr.  In the town square the main road takes a sharp right \, ignore this and go straight on up  the hill (there is an eyecatching grey Nisi shop on the junction converted from an old hotel).  Signed for EGLWYSILAN.  Park on the side of the road just past the Royal Hotel. \nThe walk takes us up the valley on a what was the old railway line.  We then climb upon to the mooorland above the valley and follow the old Senghenydd Dyke towards the three radio towers (which overlook Pontypridd and are an easy to spot landmark).  We then drop down to Eglwysilan church and back to the start. There are marvelous views across the valleys and hills of the area throughout the walk.  Binoculars and cameras suggested..

DESCRIPTION:Meet at the common at Dinas Powys for a 10:00 am start \nhttps://waht3words.com///poppy.towers.like \nDirections: \n\nTake M4 towards Bridgend\nLeave at first junction [J.33] and follow the A4232 –  Ely link road\nTake the junction AFTER Culverhouse Cross (signed for Cardiff City Football Ground)\nTake the 4th exit for the B4267  going under the dual carriageway and up Leckwith Hill\nAfter passing a section with a central bollard take the central slip lane for the right turn up the hill to Dinas Powys\nAt the junction in the main square of the village\, continue straight on (passing the village green on your right)\nTurn right at the PINK HOUSE and park on the road alongside the common\n\nThe walk is 5 miles but there is a shorter version of 3 miles for those who would prefer an easier stroll.  and an even shorter version of just over a mile.(Note -those taking a shorter option need to be aware that there are only three pubs in the village.)
