SUMMARY:Pant and Pontsticill Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:An 8.5 mile moderate walk starting near the Pant station of the Brecon Mountain Railway.  Park in the station car park (£3 daily charge) or on the road. \nhttps://what3words.com///fire.shin.soils \nPostcode CF48 2UP – or simply follow the brown tourist signs for ‘Mountian Railway’ \nThe walk takes us onto the moorland to the east of the reservoir with magnificent views of the Brecon Beacons. We drop down to the reservoir for a lunch break at the sailing club.  We follow the road south alongside the reservoir before climbing back up onto the moorland to complete our return. \nWalking poles are recommended because of some sections of uneven ground and grass tussocks. \nBecause of the nature of this walk it is more weather dependent than usual.  Rain /low cloud would severely diminsh the experience.
