DESCRIPTION:Meet at Van Road Car Park\, Caerphilly (on the left after the industrial estate –  just before the road climbs up to Rudry Common) \nhttps://what3words.com///fight.linked.broken \nThe route takes us through the woods to Rudry Common.  We cross the road near the church and reach the Caerphilly Ridgeway route.  This takes us through the woodlands and across Mountain Road near the Travelers’ Rest Pub. We continue through the golf course reaching the road above the Watford Chapel (at the junction for the Black Cock).  We go over Caerphilly Mountain and descend through the forest trail from the burger bar back to our start. \nDirections: if you are coming down the valley take the by-pass at the Cedar tree roundabout towards Bedwas . Continue straight on at the Bedwas Bridge roundabout and pass behind Lansbury park Estate.  Turn left when you reach Van road.  The car park is on the left just before the hill up to Rudry Common. (This avoids the 4-way traffic lights at Asda)
