Walking poles suggested for one section of rocky track (Roman road) \nMagnificent views over the Beacons and as far as the Camarthen Fans.  A real ‘away from it all’ walk. \n  \nSuggest meeting at Ystrad Mynach for car sharing  (9:00 departure) \nhttps://what3words.com///shrimp.ridge.character \n*** Avoid the Heads of the Valleys from Merthyr to Hirwaun due to major roadworks. \n*** Also Aberdare to Penderyn Links are closed  \nWe suggest taking the A 470 towards Brecon and then the A4059 (on the left about a mile before the Storey arms) over the mountain towards Aberdare\, Hirwaun and Penderyn. \nAfter 4.5 miles take a sharp turning to the right (s.p. Ystradfellte 2.5m) (if you get to Penderyn you have gone to far) \nAfter 1.2 miles ignore left turning (s.p. Waterfalls and continue straight).  After 1.2 miles descend hill and at T junction turn Right (s.p. Sennybridge) \nAfter 1.2 miles see sign for Blaen Llia Forestry Commission Car Par on the right. \nFollow stony track to park alongside stream.
